About the Coach
Shelbie Mitchell is a native of Cibolo, Texas. She started her playing career at the age of 13, graduating from Byron P. Steele II High School, where she played three years of varsity volleyball. She was a recipient of Academic All District all three years and her senior year, she was selected for the end of season All Tournament team. She received her BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
Shelbie has a passion for developing confident, strong-minded athletes. Her coaching career started 10 years ago and she has mentored various age groups with different levels of play. She began her club coaching career at TCVA in Schertz and now calls Bulverde Volleyball her home. Aside from coaching club ball, she also coached two consecutive seasons at Trinity Christian Academy as the Varsity and Middle School Head Coach, St. Luke’s Episcopal School as the 7th & 8th grade volleyball Head Coach, and a Track & Field Coach at Incarnate Word High School.
Shelbie uses to her upbeat coaching style to empower young athletes to be the best versions of themselves on and off the court.
